혹시 <나미야 잡화점의 기적>이라는 책 보셨나요? 일본의 '히가시노 게이고'라는 유명 작가가 쓴 소설인데, 영화로도 만들어질 정도로 굉장히 완성도가 높은 작품입니다. 개인적으로 꼭 한 번 보시는 걸 추천드립니다. 할아버지는 나미야 잡화점을 운영하시는데 소일거리로 손님이 편지를 쓰면 답을 해주는 일을 하게 됩니다. 장난스러운 편지에도 진지하게 답을 해주는 할아버지의 모습을 보면 참 인자하다는 생각이 들더라고요. 할아버지는 편지에 답을 할 때 '내가 하고 싶은 말'이 아닌 '상대는 무슨 마음으로 이 편지를 나에게 썼을까?', '상대는 무슨 말을 듣고 싶은 걸까?'를 고민하며 답장을 한다는 내용이 작품 속에서 드러나는 부분이 있었는데, 개인적으로 그 부분에서 "아!"하는 깨달음을 얻었습니다. 문의 : [email protected]
