Good afternoon. Welcome to the Sixth District Court of Appeal for oral argument. Today we do have I will call it two matters. Five cases, but two matters on calendar this afternoon. Uh and we will uh start with the first three which are being considered together. Um we'll then have a panel change and consider the final two cases on calendar. So with that, um Let me uh Yeah. Uh matters one, two, and three, H O five two oh four nine, H O five two two two one seven and H O five two two two one eight. Uh Coshi George, plaintiff and respondent versus Eric Hartman, defendant and appellant. Um Mr. Hartman is here representing himself, I believe. Yes, Your Honor, that's correct. All right, thank you very much. Before you before you locate yourself there, let me get the appearance of uh respondents counsel.

All right. Thank you very much. Uh Mr. Hartman, why don't you take the podium? I'm going to confirm your time estimate, sir. You said a total of fifteen minutes. Did you want to reserve any of the fifteen for a rebuttal?

Your Honor, could I uh please uh ask? Uh I have a military service hearing loss and I have a hearing aid and it's turned on full blast but It doesn't quite do the trick. And if you could speak up a little louder and in clarity, I would greatly appreciate it.

Uh happy to oblige. So um if you could tell me, Mr. Hartman, um you've uh have fifteen minutes allocated for oral argument this afternoon. How did you wish to divide that or do you want to reserve any of it for rebuttal?

Well, Your Honor, I uh I looked at this and uh I think my whole total argument from start to finish is five minutes.

you. Uh Your Honor, I'm the talent here and um I'm An officer of the court first and foremost, and my job and duty as an officer of the court is to try to present and and assist the court in the fair and further administration of justice. Now I went to great expense and effort to get the court to permit me to to file three separate briefs, the four nine, the one seven, and the one eight. And uh I have them right here. I basically there's the opening brief and reply brief. Uh each brief, you know, uh I prepared myself, but in order to present it in a book bookmark fashion in a proper format, you know, I had to spend like a thousand dollars per copy. So the point I'm making is your honor that I went to A great expense and effort to prepare these briefs.

to assist the court in the further administration of justice and these cases are not consolidated. Um And I see that Mr. Dresser files a respondents brief that says they're consolidated. Now I read Mr. Dresser's brief. And uh it doesn't make any sense to me. The only way that I could keep these cases straight, because that order we're appealing from the February fifteenth, two thousand twenty four, it covers a large territory of of of of of topics. And so with with that in mind, Your Honor, that's why I'm saying that I'm gonna submit my uh case on So opening and reply briefs. Uh they they the c justices, I'm sure you read 'em and there's nothing more that I could add to them, as Judge Peter Stone used to say, which I may have referred once before

in law and motion, Judge Peter Stone just say, Well, if you're proud of your pleadings, uh you'll submit 'em without argument. And that's what I followed for the last forty eight years, basically. So with that in mind, one thing I like to point out right now though, the court had uh sent me a uh A notice saying that they wanted some clarification as to the other case that I have that the court ruled.
