Good morning, everyone, and welcome to our Board of Supervisors meeting of July 30, 2024. As we begin our meeting, as we always do, with a moment of silence to be followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Before we rise, for those who are able to for that, I'm going to ask my colleagues if they have anyone They would like to keep in their thoughts and prayers this morning, and I'm just going to start by mentioning that Robin Antonucci passed away April 21st, and I think those on the board who, as my teenagers would say, had been here for a minute, remember Robin very well. And I want to acknowledge Her daughter, Katie Quinn, who's here in the boardroom with her husband, Adam. Katie is an employee in Fairfax County.

And I know that a whole ton of Robin's colleagues and coworkers are here present this morning and also watching this on video as we recognize Robin and her life. For those who did not have the opportunity and pleasure to know Robin, for over 20 years, she developed traffic engineering, transportation planning, parking, land development, and community outreach solutions for private real estate firms and public sector clients for Wells & Associates, a name we know very well. Her career from transportation planner with the Fairfax County government to executive vice president at Wells & Associates has spanned the entire spectrum of the land development entitlement process. including peer review, transportation demand management, site assessments, and expert testimony before planning boards, elected officials, courts, and numerous citizen groups.

She managed Wells Manassas office for over 15 years and has been mainly responsible for nurturing, training, and guiding many of the talented senior people that are currently managing and growing the Manassas office. And for those who worked with Robin, you know she was an enormous professional in her field, someone respected by all the various entities who work on land use cases and in the transportation industry, and as I mentioned, really was someone who nurtured, mentored, and guided so many people that we all work with on a daily basis today. And I know having directly worked with her on just countless applications over the years, I can tell you that her trusted voice, her expertise, and the way in which she conducted herself made working with her a pleasure and an opportunity for all of us to learn.

her time in fairfax county government as well she had that same reputation and and so we want to keep robin antinucci all the folks who knew her worked with her and and certainly respected her in our thoughts and prayers i know that her passing on july 1 was was a sad moment for all involved but i also know that robin had a chance to have closure with a lot of folks. I knew some folks who had the great opportunity to go down and visit her shortly before her death and talk to her. And I think all of us can feel better knowing that she no longer is in any pain, even though all of us might be, in thinking about a giant that we lost in the industry, and more important, a friend to all of us. With that, I would recognize any of my other colleagues.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I just want to also send my heartfelt condolences to the family for Robin Antonucci. I had the pleasure of working with her when I was working with then-supervisor Conley, and just an amazing professional consummate in her dedication to service and commitment to Fairfax County. I was very saddened to learn that she was battling pretty traumatic um disease and illness and i'm just happy to know that she has transitioned in a way and that her family was there her friends were there and i just want to let everyone know that she was a special person and really really appreciate her service and commitment to this county thank

Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The community is mourning over the passing of J. David Moses Roja, a longtime McLean resident. He passed away on Friday, July 19, and leaves behind his wife, Carolyn, and his three beautiful children, Rachel, Alexander, and Theodore.
