Opposed? And um Uh did we read these already? Okay, so I need to read them. Um this particular one um Is uh the Lifefoot restaurant, twenty five years business anniversary. Whereas in nineteen ninety three the Intrepid Sisters Ingrid Gufteson and Carrie Gufteson Whitmer opened uh open Lightfoot Cafe, a fifty seat restaurant on West Street West Market Street in downtown Leesburg that was met with rave reviews from its patrons. And whereas in nineteen ninety nine, Ingrid and Carrie outgrew the space on Market Street and purchased the People's National Bank building on North King Street in downtown Leesburg, where they expanded to a three hundred seat restaurant. Revamp the old bank building into a beautiful high end cuisine restaurant.
Kelly Burk 6:08
Whereas this year marks the twenty fifth anniversary of Lightfoot Restaurant at the North King Street location and the thirty first year of Lightfoot restaurants serving lunch and dinners to the public in downtown Leesburg. Whereas Lightfoot Restaurant has consistently been recognized by the community as an outstanding Leesburg restaurant. That always provides exceptional food and a venue for rehearsal dinners, wedding parties, anniversaries, showers, and many other events over the years. Whereas the town of Leesburg thanks Lightfoot Restaurant for continuing to provide the community with excellent food and drink favorites in a welcoming environment in downtown Leesburg. Whereas when the pandemic impac impacted their business of serving food, Lightfoot prevailed and is one of Leesburg's iconic downtown business locations.
Kelly Burk 6:52
Therefore proclaim that the mayor and the council of the town of Leesburg in Virginia congratulate Lightfoot Restaurant on its twenty fifth business anniversary at their North King Street location. And I will take that down after I read the other ones also. Um the next proclamation is um National Public Works Week.
