Um I move we adopt the proposed agenda with the change that after we conduct the public hearing on the noise ordinance. Based on our conversation last night at work session, we table the matter until staff can retain a sound expert who can pri provide us with a report and recommendation on setting an appropriate decibel level that strikes a balance for our residents and our music. Opposed? That's six zero one. Um So let me um there's a lot of people here tonight, so let me um uh and I think I presume most of you are here for the hearing on the noise ordinance. And so for the benefit of everyone, I wanna be clear on what we're doing tonight. Uh in regard to the noise ordinance. There will be a presentation by staff, speakers from the public will then be allowed to speak pursuant to our regular rules for the public hearing. However, council will not act tonight as staff has been directed to retain a sound expert consultant to help us understand how a setting setting a decibel level compares to our current standards. No decibel level will will be selected tonight and no ordinance will be adopted tonight.

There will be another opportunity for the public. to speak at a later time when we take this ordinance back up after the receipt of the report from the sound experts. So I wanted you to know that we're not doing anything tonight. We are uh you are welcome to stay and make your remarks uh and come back at the next meeting or you're you're welcome to um uh leave at whenever you like and uh come back at the next meeting, at the next public hearing. All right. Um we've got the minister. Okay, we have two proclamations today. The first one is Arbor Day. And um This is a proclamation. Uh Arbor Day is April twenty-fifth, two thousand twenty five, whereas in eighteen seventy-two J. Sterling Morton proposed to the Nebraska Board of Agriculture that a special day should be set aside for the planting of trees.
