As we gather this evening in service to our community, may we lead with wisdom, humility, and purpose. In this month of April, Autism Acceptance Month, may we be reminded of the strength found in diversity and the importance of creating a town where every individual is seen, valued, and included. May our decisions tonight reflect compassion, integrity, and a commitment to the common good.
Amen. All right, uh please rise. Join me in the pledge. I pledge allegiance. Through the flag of the United States of America. To the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, liberty, justice for all.

Opposed? That passes seven zero. Um We do not have any certificates of recognition tonight, but we do have three proclamations. I will read them uh individually for the record and ask for a motion to accept them. Um so the first one is uh drinking water a week. And this is a proclamation uh for drinking water week May May fourth to the tenth, twenty twenty five, whereas water is our most valuable natural resource and whereas drinking water serves a vital role in daily life, serving as an essential purpose to to health, hydration and hygiene needs for the quality of life of our citizens. And whereas tap water delivers public health protections, fire protections, and support for our economy and a quality of life we enjoy.
Whereas the hard work performed by the entire water sector Designing capital project, operators ensuring the safety and quality of their drinking water. uh or a member of the pipe crew maintaining the infrastructure communities rely on to transport high quality drinking water from its source to consumers' taps. And whereas we're all stewards of the water infrastructure upon which current and future generations depend. And whereas the citizens of our town are called upon to help protect our source waters from pollution, to protect to practice water conservation and to get involved With their water by familiarizing themselves with it. Therefore proclaim that the mayor and the council of the town of Leesburg, Virginia hereby proclaim May fourth to the tenth, two thousand twenty five as drinking water week.

Our second proclamation is for National Abuse Child Abuse Prevention Month. So um national child abuse prevention month of April twenty twenty five. Whereas April is the National Child Abuse Prevention Month, calling attention to our moral obligation to protect every child from harm. And whereas child abuse and neglect is a serious problem affecting every segment of our community, and finding solutions requires input and actions from everyone. Whereas our children are the most valuable resources and will shape the future of Loudoun County.
