Hello, Supervisor Laterno. Can you hear me? Yep. Thank you.
You want
to connect.
No, I no I don't want to do that. Yeah, I know where you're going, and no I don't. Uh-huh.
Well good evening supervisors, good evening staff, and good evening Loudoun. I'd like to call to order the February nineteenth. Oh my God, today's my sister's birthday.
February nineteenth. February 19th.
Darn it. Darn it. I'd like to call the order February 19th, 2025, Bloudden County Board Supervisors Business Meeting. This room has a hearing loop. If you need hearing assistance, switch your hearing aid to the telecall mode. If you need a headset, we have those available as well. Please see the clerk to request one. This evening, Mr. Kirshner will give Supervisor Kirshner will give words of inspiration and our a prayer and lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. That's a cursor.
Thank you, Madam Chair. Welcome everybody on Let's Bow Our Heads and Talk to the Almighty. Dear God, we uh thank you for the opportunity to serve this county. Thank you for this county and all the blessings that you've bestowed upon it. Um we just got our budget presentation and and we know that every good gift and every perfect gift comes from above. And uh that you have bestowed that on us. I pray that we will be good stewards of not only the uh great riches that you have bestowed on us, but that we would be faithful in carrying out through our responsibilities and that every single one of these supervisors here on this dais every single one of our staff members and the leadership within this organization that you'll give them wisdom in making each and every choice day in and day out.
We ask this all in your name.
Amen. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. To the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I think that for all part really should uh mean something right now. Okay. Okay, folks. Um, let's see. Pursuant to code section 2.2 3708.3 and the board's rules of orders, Supervisor Matt Laterno has requested to participate in this meeting by electronic communication. A physical quorum of the board supervisors is present in the boardroom, and the board has made arrangements for the vote voice of Supervisor Laterno to be heard by all persons in the boardroom. Supervisor Laterno made this request within. in the normal time frame of the county's attorney and the county attorney determined that his request meets the qualifications to participate remotely.
The board will record in its business that Supervisor Turner participated remotely from his home in Loudoun County due to a medical condition. Supervisor Turner, can you hear us? I mean so Laterno, can you hear us?
That's a good question though. See,
but Laterno can hear us. That's all I care about. They can both hear me. They can both hear me. They can both hear me. Yeah. Forty and slip that was. All right. At our last board meeting, we read into closed session. Mr. Kirschhner read into closed session with us, but then had to leave for a medical condition also at 9 30. So when he came out, he was not able to confirm that what we did in closed session was only what we went to into closed session to do. So he has to do an affirm, but I need to read the motion for him to affirm. So I I move the closed session be adjourned that the minutes of the public meeting should reflect that no formal action was taken in the closed session in the furth and I further move that the resolution certifying the closed session be adopted and reflected in the minutes of the February twenty fifth, um, February fourth, two thousand twenty-five public meeting.
Mr. Kirschhner, is that a yay on that motion?
It is
I affirm. Yes and then Yes and you affirm. I affirm. Okay, wonderful. Okay. Uh no, not really, but okay. All right, we do have some additions and deletions to the agenda. Um we are going to do um uh uh an addition to the uh the agenda is a reconsideration of Ledgy 2023-01 um 09, the Novec South Fork substation, spec is the SPEX 2024-0033 and specs 2024-0034.
