I would like to call to order the April first, twenty twenty-five Loudoun County Board of Supervisors business meeting. This room has a hearing loop. All right, good afternoon, um, Loudon County. Welcome to our student Uh supervisors today joining me today. I have Dat from Parkview and Noble from Tuscarora High Schools. They're both seniors. Uh so we're glad to have them with us today. Um If you follow along, normally I don't actually give inspirations or or invocation. But today I'm uh going to ask for a moment of silence and recognition of the the lives that were lost recently in the earthquake uh that hit uh Mimmore. and uh Thailand and also I'd like to have a moment of silence uh to recognize the the innocent lives that have been lost uh in the
in the most recent years in regards to the war in Ukraine and also um the conflict That is continuing uh to unfortunately happen in the Middle East. So I asked for a moment of silence for all those uh lives lost. Thank you.

Thank you. Student Chairwoman, will you please read the consent agenda?
The proposed consent agenda as is follows. Item R one, resolution of recognition of Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System Chief Keith H. Johnson. Item R two, proclamation to recognize April 2025 as National Arab American Heritage Month, approval and presentation.
How does the board observe a moment of silence for recent tragedies?
Item one A, implementation of a public housing authority study. Item one B Eastern Louden Transportation Study Update. Item two A Appointments Confirmations. Item three, Administrative Items Report of April 1st, 2025. Item five, LEGI 2025 0006, Atlantic Boulevard Proffer Amendment, ZCPA 2025 0003. Item seven, response to board members' initiative, proposed new chapter six ninety-four of codified ordinances of Loudoun County containment of running bamboo.
The student chairperson has made a motion. I will um I am making that motion as well. Is there a second to that motion? Second. Motion has been made and seconded by Vice Chair Turner. Discussion on the motion. Discussion on the consent agenda, Mr. Mr. Laterno.
Thank you, Madam Chair. I just wanted to comment briefly on the Eastern Laud and Transportation Study update. I do appreciate all the work of staff on this item. Um I did have an opportunity to meet with staff and talk through um deep in the item you'll see sort of a priority list. And um I do have a little bit of a concern just because the projects that are in my part of the county, we have a very rapidly changing environment with the opening of North Star Boulevard. And the recent opening of our Cola Boulevard. So our Cola Mills Drive between Stone Springs and Loudoun County Parkway is listed as the highest priority project. However, that traffic patterns there have changed for the better since we've opened up these other roads.
The data collection is a little bit dated, as it always happens, there's always a lag. The second highest priority project is the Loudon County Parkway and Route 50 interchange, which you all Have heard me talk about over and over and over again. Um, that to me would be the actual highest priority. So we are talking to staff, they will be doing uh another round of data collection and and and whatnot. Um, when the CTP comes forward, we have the destruction uh discussion about the trans comprehensive transportation plan. Um, we can kind of get into that more. So I but I just wanted to flag some of those things that are in the southern part of the county are kind of moving and
