Well, good afternoon, supervisors. Good afternoon, staff. Good afternoon, Loudoun. I'd like to call to order the July 15th, 2025, Loudoun County Board Supervisors Business Meeting. This room has a hearing loop. If you need hearing assistance, please put your hearing aid to the telecoil mode. If you need a headset, we have those available as well. I like to make note at this very second that the meeting starts at four o'clock. And at four o'clock, all the women on the board are on the dance. And none of the men are. That's all I'm gonna say about that. Um I um mister Kirshner is not here to leave give us words of inspiration or lead us in the pledge and so I'm going to um I just came back from the National Association of Counties and I like to write down quotes that I find to be um
Phyllis J. Randall 5:28
helpful or or insightful. So I wrote down two quotes about elected office that I thought were really good and so I want to read them both. The first one was from Adelaide Stevenson. He wrote, The challenge of elected office is doing what it takes to be elected and still deserve the job. I like that. Hubert Humphrey, I love this. Hubert Humphrey said, it was once said that the moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of their life, the children, those who are in the twilight of their life, the elderly, and those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy, and the handicapped. I liked both those, so I thought I would share those. Would everyone please join me in the pledge of the life?
Phyllis J. Randall 6:22
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I'm gonna say right now I'm not a great a great voice tonight, I promise. I don't have a cold. I think it's just allergies or maybe just spending four days in Philadelphia. Um so supervisors, I'm going to do a add this agenda t add this following item to the agenda and then place it on consent. Um item 3G is a timeline expansion for ledger 2025-0056, the Dallas Technology part, Z MAP 2024-0017, and ZMAP 2024-0018, special exception 020 2024-0081. It is a commer commission permit, and that number is 2025-0009. timeline needs to be extended.
Phyllis J. Randall 7:27
So we're not doing anything one way or the other. We're just extending the timeline so we can get past um the the September I really the August break and all those things. So without objection I will add that to the consent agenda as I will eat the consent agenda right now. Item R1, proclamation to recognize American with Disabilities Act Awareness Day. That is for approval and presentation. Uh Ms. Um Glass will join me down front for that resolution. Item one A, contract renewal, fuel services. Item one B, contract renewal architectural services.
