We have six items proposed for consent this evening, and they are number six, award authority increased information technology products and software services. Item number seven, award authority increase, information technology consulting and technical services. Item number ten, Loudon County Board of Equalization 2024 Annual Report. And item number 11, utilization of federal and state asset forfeit. Funds for the Lavin County Sheriff's Office. I'll move approval of the consent agenda. Is there a second? Seconded by Supervisor Umstead. Any discussion on the consent agenda, Supervisor Brisbane.
Juli E. Briskman 13:46
Thank you. Um I just wanted to draw our attention to number nine, um, because the county did put out um a really good statement today about um everything about the fiscal in impact committee and what it does and what it la for lack of a better word, impacts. Um and it was really very, very educational and so I would encourage um folks to read that and um colleagues maybe put it out there uh for the public because it was it was very informative and very interesting. Thank you.
Matthew F. Letourneau 14:19
Okay. Any other discussion on any of the consent agenda items? Seeing none, all in favor say aye. Aye. Anyone opposed? Motion carries. Five zero. We do have a couple members of the board who have joined us uh this evening who are not members of the committee, and they will of course be welcome to participate in the discussions but cannot make motions and vote on the motions. Uh all right, we'll move to our information items. Our first is our monthly Department of Economic Development report with Mr. Reiser. Good evening. Happy holidays.

Same to you. Just a couple of quick updates tonight. Uh, newly posted jobs in Loudoun County for November, uh 3,135, active open jobs in Loudoun County, 17,000. Uh nationally, 227,000 jobs were added in November, which was slightly above the expectations. October, the most recent month for local unemployment data, the rate 2.6 for Loudoun, 2.9 for Virginia. 4.1 for the U.S. Uh the BLS jobs report in December showed 4.2 for the U.S. The most recent consumer price index showed prices in October were up 2.6% compared to a year ago. This is up slightly from 2.4 in September and 2.5 in August, but otherwise it is the lowest it's been in almost four years. The next monthly CPI report released tomorrow. Uh November 6th, the Fed lowered the Fed funds rate by uh point tw.25.
Unknown 15:47
Uh with the continued low inflation, we do expect that uh they will consider another rate decrease on December 17th and 18th. And as we reach halfway point of this fiscal year, we're in a very strong position. 59 wins, almost 2,000 jobs, and just over $6 billion. an investment and I'm happy to take any questions.
Matthew F. Letourneau 16:09
Thank you much, very much, Mr. Reiser. Great news. Any questions on the monthly report? Seeing none, we do have a long agenda tonight, so I think that's stunting our discussion a little bit, but keep out doing what you're doing, my friend. All right. Okay, number two, update on passport acceptance program at the Rust Library.
