Good evening, everybody. The February 26, 2024 Loudoun County Planning Commission public hearing will now come to order. As is our custom, let us please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

Thank you all. Just a few opening remarks. You're used to seeing Chair Frank up here. She's not feeling well this evening, so you're gonna have to suffer through this with me. My apologies in advance. A few ground rules here to lay out for the public hearing. Members of the public who wish to comment on any item tonight, if you're in the boardroom, please fill out a speaker slip and hand it to the Assistant Deputy Clerk of the Planning Commission at the end of the day over to my left. If you're participating electronically, please call the number on the bottom of the screen. And if you signed up to speak after 3.30 p.m., please confirm your name is on the speaker list as public comment sign up closes after 12 noon as is indicated on the website.

When you come up to speak please indicate your name and the agenda item you want to address. Each speaker will have three minutes, but six minutes if you're speaking on behalf of a civic organization. If there's more than one person signed up for the same organization, please choose only one person to speak on their behalf. And with respect to these three and six minute timeframes this evening, I'll give everybody about a 30 second heads up before their time expires and then upon expiration I'll ask you please just to step aside for the next speaker as we have a lot of speakers tonight. Written comments may be submitted to the Assistant Deputy Clerk who will make copies for the Planning Commission and the Planning Commission may vote on applications tonight and send its recommendation to the Board of Supervisors or we may forward the item to a work session for further consideration before taking a final vote.

And lastly, our procedures for the public hearings tonight are as follows. We'll have a 10 minute staff presentation, followed by commissioners questions to staff. And tonight, for my fellow commissioners, we will each be given three minutes to ask questions of staff. We'll limit the round of commission questions to just one round with respect to the staff questions. Then we'll have a 10-minute applicant presentation when applicable, and then the hearing will be open for public comment. After everyone has had a chance to speak, the hearing will be closed, and then the applicant and staff will have an opportunity to provide any responses to public comment. And finally, there'll be a motion, deliberation, and a vote by the commission.

I would like to offer a change that needs to be done before we approve on page five of the minutes. It has myself as Mickey on the, I'm sorry, if you look at the motion there on page five, it has me doing the original motion, and then it has it saying Commissioner Jess were further removed at the Planning Commission, when it should say Chairman Pullen that Commissioner Poland-Myers further moved the Planning Commission, so it's just the wrong name in there. Okay. It needs to be corrected. Does somebody want to make a motion subject to that correction? I'll make a motion subject to that correction.
