Uh good evening everybody. Uh welcome to tonight the June twenty five, twenty twenty four Loudoun County Planning Commission public hearing, which will now come to order. Um as is our custom. Let's uh please stand for the pledge. Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Uh thank you. Uh I've got some um opening remarks. Um scripted here, uh pursuant to code of Virginia section two point two dash three seven zero eight point three. And the Planning Commission remote participation policy. Chair Frank has requested to participate in this meeting by electronic communication and will be joining the meeting from Charleston, South Carolina.
As required by law, a physical quorum of the planning commission is present in the boardroom and the commission has made arrangements for the voice of Chair Frank to be heard by all persons in the boardroom. Chair Frank made this request within the timeframe required by policy, and the county attorney is determined that Chair Frank meets the qualifications to participate remotely. The Commission will record in its minutes that Chair Frank participated remotely from a private location not open to the public in Charleston, South Carolina due to travel. Uh members of the public who wish to comment tonight on any item at the public hearing legislative agenda may do so. If you're in the boardroom, please fill out a speaker slip and hand it to the Assistant Deputy Clerk of the Planning Commission at the end of the day is to my left.
If you're participating electronically. Please call the number on the bottom of the screen. If you signed up to speak after 12.30 p.m., please confirm your name is on the speaker list as public comment sign-up closes after 12 noon, as indicated on our website. Um when you speak, please indicate your name and the agenda item you want to address. And each speaker will have three minutes. Um six minutes though if you're speaking on behalf of a civic organization. And if there is more than one person signed up for the same organization, please choose only one person to speak on its behalf. Uh written comments may be submitted to the Assistant Deputy Clerk who will make copies for the Planning Commission.
And the Planning Commission may vote on applications tonight and send its recommendation to the Board of Supervisors or may forward the item to a work session for further consideration before taking a final vote. Our procedures tonight for for the public hearing are as follows. We'll have a 10-minute staff presentation, followed by commissioners' questions to staff. Tonight. Each commissioner will be given three minutes to ask questions of staff, then we'll have a 10-minute applic applicant presentation. Um the hearing will be open for public comment. After everyone has had a chance to speak, the hearing will be closed, and the applicant and staff will have an opportunity to provide any responses to public comment.
And finally, there'll be a motion, deliberation, and a vote by the commission. Um okay looks like we have some minutes on our agenda. Do I have a motion with respect to those minutes? Any second? We've got a motion made by Commissioner Myers, uh seconded by Commissioner Motoretti. Um any deliberation or comments on the draft minutes? Okay. Uh all in favor of the motion on the table, please say aye. Aye. Aye. Uh any opposed? Okay. Uh Chair Frank, did we hear from you?

Um I met with the applicant in regards to the application that's before us tonight this afternoon um via Zoom meeting. Last night I attended the community input session for the Saint Louis community plan.
