That's great. All right. So I have an announcement this evening. We're recruiting members to join our boards, commissions, and committees. We're accepting applications until five PM on October fourth for the Environmental Planning Commission. That's a week from Friday, I think. We are also accepting applications until 5 p.m. on November 8th for the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee, the Board of Library Trustees, the Downtown Committee, the Human Relations Commission, Parks and Rec Commission, Performing Arts Committee, Public Safety Advisory Board, Senior Advisory Committee, and the Visual Arts Committee. Please contact the City Clerk's Office for Yeah. I hope we'll get a great pool of candidates.

These are very important um positions in our community. Okay, so that brings us to item three, presentations. Please note that these are presentations only. The city council will not take action. Public comment will occur after the presentation items. If you would like to speak on these items in person, please submit a blue speaker card to the city clerk now. Um first we're gonna go with uh Compassion Week. Um that's three point one. We have a Compassion Week proclamation. And um we're happy to be joined this evening by Jan McDaniel, co-founder and chair of Compassion Week to accept this proclamation. Jan, would you join me at the lectern?

Well, the proclamation reads Um, whereas the City of Mountain View is a community that embraces, promotes, and values compassion, and whereas the City of Mountain View recognizes the value of acts of compassion that are performed by community based organizations, nonprofit agencies, and individuals every day to foster a kinder and more connected community. And whereas the Vision of Compassion Week Is to build a strong, compassionate, and empathetic community by creating service and learning opportunities for individuals to expand their understanding of local and global needs. And whereas the purpose of Compassion Week is to build community, bridge divides, and promote understanding and healing through acts of compassion, and whereas all members of the Mountain View community, regardless of age, background, education,

Gender, religious beliefs, lifestyle, ability, or skills are invited to contribute their talents and energy to participate in Compassion Week projects and activities to help make Mountain View a more caring and kind community.
