Regarding existing litigation, pursuant to government code section five four nine five six point nine. The name of the case is Gonzalez versus County of Santa Clara. At all. United States District Court for the Northern District of California case number twenty four dash zero zero two nine six. And item two point three is a conference with legal counsel regarding one item of anticipated litigation pursuant to government code section five four nine five six point nine D two.

Okay, everyone is here. Great. Um, thank you for being patient. We had a long, um, closed session, but um we're going to get to some Fun things this evening. First of all, I am going to update you a little bit about the El Camino Real Paving Plan, which is something that we all care about. As you as you've noticed, undoubtedly noticed, Caltrans is making great progress on paving El Camino Real in Mountain View. As a quick reminder, Caltrans started the project with paving the southbound lanes in Palo Alto, beginning at Sand Hill Road, and has been working. Their way towards us to turn around at Sylvan Road in Mountain View, which is just shy of the Sunnyvale border. That's about eight miles of work. A majority of the paving work is done in the southbound lanes, and the paving work is now continuing in the northbound lanes, from Sylvan Road northward towards Palo Alto.
And I think as we've all noticed when we drive on the lanes. That have been repaved. It's just a wonderful experience comparatively. Once the paving is completed, the striping and other finishing work will begin. And it's really expected in early 2025. It will take a while. And that it also depends on weather conditions. Some of the active transportation improvements that you can look forward to with this project are the protected bike lane. high visibility crosswalks and three new pedestrian crossings with hybrid beacons at Bonita Avenue, Crestrew Drive, and Pettus Avenue. So we're all very excited about that. And um so next we move to item three, which is our presentations. Please note these are presentations only, so the city council doesn't take action.
Um public comment occurs after the presentation items. So if you'd like to speak on these items in person, please submit a blue speaker card to the city clerk now. So the first one is item three point one, um recognition of Tom Meyer's twenty-fifth anniversary with the community service agency of Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.
