to hear. I'm excited to be with. Yeah, it's wonderful to be with you. I just wish it could have been in person, but, uh, the house, uh, is still in session. So I'm, uh, meeting with you, uh, by voice and, uh, It's an honor to be with you, and I thank you, Mayor Pat Showalter, Vice Mayor Lisa Matichak, Council Members Margaret Abe Koga, Allison Hicks, Ellen Kamei, Lucas Ramirez, and Emily Ann Ramos. It's wonderful to be with you. And, you know, as I reflect over my years of public service, I served for 10 years, as you know, in local governments. before I was elected to Congress. So I know very well how important the work you do is. And I thank each one of you for your service to the community. It's been the honor of my lifetime to represent Mountain View in Congress for 32 years.

I was the first woman and the first Democrat to be elected in the history of the district to represent it. And I'm very proud of the bipartisan body of work I've been able to accomplish to help not only our district, but the entire country. During my 16 terms in Congress, five presidents have signed 68 of my bills into law, including legislation to create two federal advanced research centers for biosafety and for medical cures. And I'm also very proud to have secured over a billion dollars it's hard to believe for the electrification of cal train uh 2.35 million for affordable and emergency housing in mountain view and two and a half million dollars for the pedestrian under crossing at bernardo avenue uh my top priority for the remaining days that congress is in session this year is to first fully fund the government that's the job of the congress

including securing the $3 million I requested on behalf of Mountain View for the Linda Vista Avenue Affordable Housing Project. It's so important to get that funded. In closing, I know that there is both happiness on the part of some and deep disappointment on the part of others, the result of the national elections.
