Good afternoon, everyone. I'd like to call this joint meeting of the Santa Clara City Council and Stadium Authority Board to to order. Confirmation of a quorum. Assistant City Clerk. Thank you, Madam Mayor.
Welcome back. Um confirming a quorum and we have two um council members for the record that are participating remotely, and that was Councilmember Jane and Councilmember Hardy.
Right, thank you. We have three items for closed session. City attorney, would you like to read them, please? Thank you, Madam Mayor. Yes, I'll read us in. Um item 1A is conference with legal counsel regarding existing litigation, Seneca versus the city of Santa Clara in Superior Court, as identified on the agenda. Second item is a public employee uh performance evaluation uh for the city manager. And the third item is public employee. employee performance valuation for the city attorney, including conference with labor negotiators with respect to that position with the city's uh negotiation representatives as identified on the agenda. I will not uh for obvious reasons be participating in one B or one C.
However, Sue Ruder will be available for my group to provide legal support if necessary. The agenda does indicate we're meeting in closed session in council conference room. However, I'm informed we will be meeting in Sparasino conference room instead. Good evening everyone and welcome to the Santa Clara City Council Stadium Authority meeting. I'd like to call this meeting to order. Could you please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and remain standing for our statement of values? I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
As we gather, we seek we humbly seek blessings on this meeting. May we act with strength, courage and will to perform our obligations and duties to our people, with justice to all. Let us seek wisdom so that we may act in the best interest of our people, our neighbours and our country. All this we ask so we may serve our community with fairness and respect, putting their needs before all.
