Okay, so we will move on to uh Pursuant to notice hereby given that pursuant to the provisions of the California government code in section seven eight of this of the city charter, the mayor calls for a special meeting on the city council uh commenced tonight, October twenty ninth, two thousand twenty four at seven PM. Uh and now we will go to roll call.

And that passes six to zero for those who are present. Okay, so we are going to be moving on to our agenda for this evening. Uh we have the first mayor before we move on, I'll just read a statement. My apologies. Go ahead. Statement of behavioral standards. The city of Santa Clara has adopted a code of ethics and values and behavioral standards for public meetings to promote and maintain the highest levels of conduct. This includes mutual respect, robust discussion, and allowing city
business to be done in an efficient and consistent manner. Please note that as the presiding office, the uh the chair's direction in matters of process and decorum should be followed and that use of the gavel indicates all conversations must conclude and everyone in attendance should come to order and attention. Welcome and thank you for your participation. Lobbyists speaking uh in a lobbying capacity are required to identify themselves as such and disclose the clients and or organizations that he or she represents at any meeting held with city officials or at public meetings, pursuant to City Code section two point one five five point one one oh.
Excellent. Thank you. Okay, so we have two items on our agenda this evening. Uh we will be starting with the first item. Which is public hearing uh for item twenty-four dash ten seventy-nine. The action on carryover of the f uh fiscal year two thousand twenty-three-twenty-four funding for the operation of a thirty-unit uh ninety private bedrooms, home key interim housing development on Santa Clara County owned land located at the southeast corner of Lawrence Expressway and Benton's Benton Street. Uh sequest statutory exemption under government code sections six five nine one three point four uh SB35 affordable housing projects and approve the related budget amendment. Uh city manager, will you please intro this item?
