One is I am very free with telling people my ideas.
A lot of people who I tell are friends, and they're not going to say that absolutely sucks, but you can kind of see it in their eyes.
You can see, or if they ask follow-up questions.
Another test is, am I still thinking about this idea in a couple of weeks and being like, oh, that is an interesting idea.
If I just forget it the next day, maybe it's not worthwhile.
And then just experimenting, starting to write and say, you know, is this flowing?
Does this have legs?
Because, yeah, you can't always decide in advance of a project.
You might have to start it and see if it takes off.
Test it out a little bit, just like a puzzle.
You have to work with it a bit and see what you're pulling back from your brain and trying out and looking at it in a different way.
So, AJ, I always ask my guests, what is something you have done recently to take a day from great to awesome?
Well, I have another little habit ritual that I do that I have found very helpful.
And I wrote about it.
I wrote about it on my sub stack, Experimental Living with A.J.
Jacobs, if anyone wants to check it out.
