that people end up in prison.

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

People end up there because there's been a history of criminality in the family or addiction in the family or a combination of addiction, criminality, poverty.

trauma, you know, violence, experiences with violence within the home, experiences with violence within the community.

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

drug use or mental illness you know I think that's a great point that you're making there actually I think that's a brilliant point that you're making there because like I can say but many of the families who I've walked with are just known for being from these areas like a lot of times unfortunately that is the case you know there can be one parent that has

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

for a number of different reasons you know and for a number of different reasons and it's very hard when that parent has to work two or three jobs maybe to provide for multiple kids you know and like they're not they're not there they're relying on other people to to help out to maybe collect the kids from school or to try and hang on to them and they might have limited numbers in terms of family or whatever and they're relying on people calling their families all the time it can be very difficult and oftentimes in that situation those young people do like not everyone's

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

Yeah, but not everyone is making it out either, do you know what I mean?

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

Not everybody, you're saying like these parents that just don't care, that's not the case for everyone as well.

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

I'm just saying there's a multitude of reasons.

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

There's a multitude of reasons.

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

Rebecca, so what you're suggesting there is to put money into an area to run courses to try and... In general, not in an area, in general.

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

But what I'm saying to you, Rebecca, is what you're talking about there is investment, right?

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

So I think what you're taking your prayer wrong and thinking that I'm trying to defend...

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

some of these actions, right?

Liveline
"I was 11 [when I first held a gun]"

I'm not trying to defend them.
