There's a lot of platforming in a Metroidvania. And if your movement is not good or your abilities are not good, it can feel clunky. And when I have to move around this giant map with this clunky movement system... it just gets frustrating to me. So I know that part of exploration in a metroidvania are the skills that you acquire along the way that let you get to these secret areas and stuff.

I will say one of the things when I was watching video of this game was that it looked like there were actually some really neat, like movement abilities. Like you get a little glowing spider. That's almost like a, like a, you know, the grapple gun or something like that, like a grappling hook. There is wall climbing. There's the dashing.

There's the blast off and shoot over to the other side of the level. So it seems like they really kind of took into account a lot of these aspects on how you actually get around in this world.

Because my, and this is, I'll say as much as I love Hollow Knight, I hated the map in Hollow Knight, having to run for 10 minutes straight to get to a fast travel point to then travel to a fast travel point that, Oh wait, that's not where I meant to go. Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, maybe it's this one. Nope. Nope. It's not that one either.

And because I said, this has the best map in any Metroidvania I've ever seen. It lets you take a screenshot and pin it to the map itself so that you can remember what the thing was that you couldn't get to. Like at one point there's a chest that's like, it's well above double jump range. And I'm like, well, how the heck am I supposed to get up there?
