I'll never forget whenever... So we were finishing up the Noise Complaint record, and I had a buddy's dad that was kind of fronting the money for us to go in and make this record.

And something happened to where he wasn't going to pay the extra, I think it was like $2,500, $3,000 to finish out this record, and the record was almost done.

And so...

And, you know, I called my pops up, and I was still in Steenville at the time.

I said, hey, do you mind if I come back home and work for a few months and pay this record off?

He's like, yeah, come on.

And so I went back, and one of the best decisions I ever made because we, you know, ended up getting to pay for the record and it coming out being the success we had in Texas and –

But whenever I handed him my vest and my hard hat, I handed it to him, and I said, hey, that's the last time I'm putting that shit on ever.

And I think that was a really special day in his life because I think, like I said, all the summers and all the hard work of him exposing me to that kind of shit, he was like, maybe he's finally got it.

And I haven't put a hard hat or a vest on since, and so I'm pretty damn proud of that.

Yeah.

Back, you know, it's weird.

I see everyone working now outdoors and they have all these pop-up tents.

That shit didn't exist when I worked outdoors.

You just worked.

Found a shade tree.

Well, you had to work wherever the work was.

Like if it's on the roof, you're just on the roof.

You know, if you got a sombrero, you know, get a half the big brim on it.

But all that pop-up shit.
