So here's the irony, right?

The night before I made him dinner, we were watching the Olympics, and he was extremely fearful about this.

He hadn't been on a horse for 25 years.

And this is 89, by the way, The Return of the Musketeers.

So 25 years earlier, he was on a horse on the other Musketeer movie where he fell off and broke a leg.

Now, they had a first one that had... Chamberlain.

Richard Chamberlain.

Michael York.

That's right.

And I do...

believe that um oh god what's the beautiful uh Raquel Welch was in it it's very possible see if Raquel Welch was in the first one I saw the first one in theater but this is the return of whatever yeah so you make him dinner the night so I make Roy Kinnear dinner the night before and he's telling me uh look I really don't want to do this and I've come from a horse background all right and uh you know

There was a big thing made over the fact that they could just double him and get away with the shot.

And the director, who was his best friend, mind you— Faye Dunaway and Raquel Welch in the first one.

So Dick Lester, Richard Lester, the director, was one of his best friends and said, I really need you to do this.

And of course—

He was killed in that shot.

Well, we had three or four more weeks of shooting to go.
