but sometimes what keeps these stories alive is a hidden benefit because if the outcome is already decided by fate by karma already unlikely because of this curse then you never have to risk being truly responsible for what happens if love doesn't work out

It wasn't fully your fault, because it just happens in your family.

And even though the story protects you from the discomfort of trialing and failing, it does come at a cost.

The cost is that it protects you from the joy of trying and succeeding.

and it filters every piece of evidence through its own lens.

A possible partner that does one thing questionable is evidence of the curse, not of their qualities or characteristics.

a relationship that ends becomes confirmation of fate rather than one step closer to the one that is meant to last the story is self-sealing it turns everything into evidence for itself including things that aren't evidence at all this is not fate, this is not karma

It's just a mind doing what minds do, finding patterns, constructing narratives, filtering experience through the story it already believes.

And now you get to choose a different story, not a naive story, not a fairy tale, a true story.

the true story is that your relationships are determined by your choices, your growth, your qualities, and your openness, not by anyone else's relationships, an auntie, a sister,

a cousin, a mother, a grandmother, not by a pattern inherited like a piece of furniture that you never asked for.

You are not your family's history.

You are you, and your story is being written right now, in this moment.

So take a breath,

and just imagine those old words the curse, the pattern, the fate dissolving dissolving there into nothing in the open air watch them go because they were never yours to carry

And I want you to feel in its place, you feel a sense of, if it's going to be, it's up to me.

That personal responsibility that your choices, your desires, your evaluations, that is what changes your future.
