And every time it rang, yeah, I didn't want to be caught off guard.
So I was staying ready the whole game.
I wanted to be prepared.
Anytime it rang, my heart skipped a little bit.
I think it was a good warm-up for me, getting used to the atmosphere, used to getting that phone call and waiting if it's me or not to prepare me to be able to do it at Yankee Stadium.
Initially, it was just my friends signing up, so I didn't want to be the odd one out, so I signed up as well, and I don't think anybody really knew what the game was.
We just kind of, we played t-ball in the school gym with gym floor mats as bases, and it was like, it was like a little rectangle shape field, and you know, it was all just fun and games, literally, and we're just kind of learning the rules as we go, and then we're just hanging out and messing around, and
Not really paying too much attention to what's going on, but as I kind of played it more and more, I really started to get drawn into it, and they added me to the A team instead of the B team, so it was an actual team that played against other teams, and that just kind of took off from there.
Yeah, I'm in touch here and there with some of my friends from back there still, for sure.
No, for sure, Blue Jays was the number one team.
Once we moved to Canada, they were everywhere, and every time if we went out to eat somewhere, the Blue Jays game was on, and
Very cool team to first get introduced to and watch like full time.
And yeah, I mean, then it kind of took off.
They got to the postseason that year in 2015, I believe.
That team was stacked with hitters and David Price was on that team too, which was amazing.
And yeah, I just loved every minute of it.
I met Edwin, yeah.
I met him actually.
He was in AAA for a little bit, I think just to kind of supervise some of the guys that were there.
I think maybe somebody was rehabbing there, and I went up and introduced myself to him.
