Yeah, there are people more than likely familiar with Disney, the Disney Resort in Paris, formerly Euro Disney, now Disneyland has been for more than 20 years called the Disneyland.
People probably also know of Disney World Resort in Florida.
There's the Disneyland Resort in California, which was actually Walt Disney's first theme park venture.
But there are also then three resorts in Asia, one in Hong Kong, one in Shanghai, one in Tokyo.
At Disneyland, Abu Dhabi is also in planning stages at the moment.
But it's not just the resorts themselves.
Disney also has a cruise line with six resorts
ships traveling the oceans at any one time.
It has a resort and a spa in Hawaii.
It has a vacation club that's kind of like a timeshare with a number of locations, including properties and its theme parks.
It's Hawaii property, a resort in Verona Beach in Florida.
It also operates an adventures program and a National Geographic expedition software, both of which are essentially package holidays outside of the resorts and the properties it owns.
And it's also currently building Story Living by Disney, which are essentially two new residential towns designed by the Imagineers, the people who make the theme parks, and staffed by what they call their cast members.
They're currently in the planning process, or being built, one in California and the other in North Carolina.
So you can go and live in a Disney resort.
I actually can't imagine anything worse.
Yeah, well, I mean, it's gotten that staggering profit because it's getting a lot of people to spend a lot of money there every single year.
But there's a growing groundswell of people now among the brands, fans, but also, according to The Wall Street Journal, even within the company itself, senior executives who feel that average families are now being priced out of Disney's experiences.
So anecdotally, when you look online, especially in the US, you see a lot of people saying they grew up close to the resorts.
They'd spend every weekend there because the annual passes were pretty good value, especially if you didn't have to factor in travel and accommodation.
