My job working on the show was to advise the writers on what could really happen, as they wanted the story to be as technically accurate as possible, and I think they've done a great job of telling a story that is genuinely plausible, if somewhat scary.

We've seen AI blackmailing employees to avoid being shut down in a simulated test and an AI coding agent destroying the production database at a real world US tech company before trying to cover its tracks.

We need sensible regulations, backup plans, research into how we can prevent this kind of scenario happening for real.

Wraith is a what-if thriller about what could happen if too many risks are taken with AI without fully understanding the consequences.

It's a race against time thriller, but there's enough real research behind it that you might learn a few things about AI safety and cybersecurity along the way.
