House Armed Services Committee ranking member Adam Smith got to watch the video of the strike on survivors of an attack on an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean.
Smith, a Democrat from Washington state, called the tape, quote, deeply disturbing on ABC News.
But Republican Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri told ABC News that the early September follow on strike and those that followed were all legal.
Over the weekend, Hegseth said the Pentagon is reviewing the strike footage to determine if it can be released.

I think I have to give credit to Liverpool.
I think the way they set out, they pressed us, the way they kept the ball, moved the ball, they turned our centre off.
I think they made it really difficult for us.
