Thought she was going to be here for five days.

It was heartbreaking because as we were leaving, she thought we were here to pick her up and take her home.

One individual should not be able to unilaterally obstruct the swearing in of a duly elected member of Congress for political reasons.

I did not want to be in this congressional limbo, but I do think it gives me an opportunity to fight

for Arizonans and bring up the issues that I was elected to serve on.

Congresswoman-elect Grijalva plans to sign on to a bipartisan petition to force a release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

One last signature is needed to trigger a related House vote, but Grijalva tells NPR she needs to be seated first.
