So they were there before the coaches got there.

um the dinner like the leaders really drove the connection the night before we got there and um yeah like i said he's so invested in in us um he's been a terrific servant of our footy club so if he does decide at the end of the year whether he goes back home to go and play or just to go and coach or just to take his family taylor and samara back over to perth and move on with life um

Yeah, that will be his decision.

But like I said, we're just so grateful to have him right now.

And whatever he decides at the end of the year will obviously help him with whatever he decides to do.

No doubt.

Right now, like I said, he's playing really good footy.

He was really important for us on the weekend and

um yeah he's still got some good footy in him so yeah there's no doubt that we would offer him um to stay because those while we're going through what we're going through while we're trying to get games into our younger players um those older lads that have obviously been to and obviously won premierships and they've got that experience that is so important to have at our footy club and um down press here um tom lynch nick foss and those guys are just the knowledge that they're imparting on our players

I'm trying to fast track the development of our boys, but we are as coaches, our lads out on the field are doing that a lot quicker than what I could do.

So even on the weekend with a close game scenario.

we started throwing up signs and making sure that we were in the right positions and setting up certain structures and systems.

Our lads were already setting that up out there, so those leaders were driving that.

So, yeah, they're really important to have, so no doubt we'll be having those discussions.

Well, to be fair, yeah, it was awesome that he'd come in.

We were a little bit worried that he wasn't going to turn up.

But no, well, Nick, Chris Newman, we have a session, we have a culture and leadership session each week.

And so we do things within the club that Newey's made it his own thing.

to bring in some past players.

So we had Francis Burke a few weeks ago talk to the young lads and we get a couple of our young boys to interview them.
