I couldn't, I couldn't hold it anymore.
I just started screaming.
I had to go out.
I said, leave everybody, leave me alone.
I was screaming and I just ran out of the door.
I just completely ran outside and I just bent down on my knees and I started screaming.
And I said, why, why did you not cut my leg off?
What it had to be, why it had to happen to my child at the age of 18 and you know,
At that day, at that stage, I thought it was going to be the end of his life.
He's going to wake up and he's going to look at me and he's going to say, why did you let them do it, mom?
And that's what I thought I would have it, you know, but no.
Life puts everybody, like God puts you and, you know, gives you a lesson and sees how you're going to react and
I had to be strong.
I had to go back to him and every day by day when he was waking up and just be there and just be prepared to tell him.
I think he gets from everybody around, you know, but I was shocked as a mother.
I'm still in shock how he took it in, how he's taken it in.
And I've noticed such a huge change in Sean that, you know, he's now able to say, I love you, mum.
I love you, daddy.
You know, it's just, it's a life-changing situation that he's been into.
It's changed everybody's life around, you know, his friends' lives, our friends'.
