Well, initially we were told two.
You've just read three from the article.
I believe it's about three or four because they've combined a couple of them together, but they're little administrative tweaks.
They don't go to any of what was recommended for Victoria Police to change.
They don't go to any of the SASH recommendations.
I don't have them in front of me, but when we consider preventing, preventative measures, so again, the SASH pilot that is supposed to be training police officers.
I mean, we're still trying to clarify the definition of stalking, seriously.
The training for frontline police officers, the screen assessment tool that they're going to use, so-called SASH, definitely goes to prevention because they're trying to identify the level of risk.
Yep.
That the perpetrator poses.
To me, the ones specific to Victoria Police would be what would prevent this from happening again.
Ankle bracelets, which was not a recommendation, and I still insist that they reconsider that, would go to prevention.
You know, there was recommendations in there specific to the courts, prosecutors, defence lawyers.
Very important.
Now, this is not for prevention.
This goes more to the rehabilitation side of it, I suppose, but it would prevent reoffending if they did put these measures in place.
Because one of the biggest problems with stalking is because here in Victoria, the maximum is 10 years, which is never actually handed down, but that is what the maximum is.
then you have defence lawyers and prosecutors pleading the charges down.
So they're actually not going ahead with stalking charges because the maximum is so high.
And so, you know, the perpetrator is not going to plead guilty to stalking.
