I mean, they went to the Stanley Cup final two years in a row.
Obviously, the core is going to be pretty tired from that.
I mean, does that really play a lot of help in a team when they can get a bit of a rest like that?
Yeah, for sure.
It felt like special teams kind of got the Oilers in the butt a little bit, but it also seems like the Ducks, like you said, Quentinville, did a really good job of matching against the Edmonton Oilers in their offense and finding ways to block the defense.
What was kind of the biggest area there that you saw that made Edmonton struggle so much?
For sure.
You think about the stars on the Ducks this year.
I mean, Troy Terry, Cutter Gauthier, Jackson Lacombe, he had a phenomenal series, especially against the Oilers' top players.
But, I mean, Ryan Poehling, I mean, this guy, you know, we knew he was a good player coming into this series, but he definitely stepped up his game and turned this thing around on the Oilers, scoring some big goals in big times.
What kind of creates a player that turns him into a playoff performer like that?
Yeah, they're a good young core.
I mean, injuries really plagued the Oilers this year, and it bled into this series 100%.
I mean, Leon Dreisaitl, he was nursing something.
Connor McDavid was definitely hurt.
And then you lose Adam Henrique, who was kind of your main center there on the penalty kill.
I mean, it was kind of inevitable that they were going to have some troubles in that area.
But obviously, playing hurt isn't very good.
But do you think that that's something that the players can lean on?
