I mean, the years are shoving on and they are way, they're just out of the game.
They would need to go back in and do a task force rebuild on the place.
Yeah.
So certainly forget Fiona Foyle.
Yeah, he was briefly co-opted onto the council.
He failed to retain the seat in the 2024 locals.
So there's that down against him.
Just to nail this, I'm not for a second saying that a non-Irish speaker cannot win
this by-election in Galway West.
But it is the one constituency, possibly with Donegal, of course, and Kerry, and to a much lesser extent, Waterford.
It's hugely influential.
The Irish language is hugely influential politically.
Basically, South Connemara elects at least one TD in the five seat in a general election and usually has an influence in at least another.
So Irish is a great asset.
I'll give you three, four examples.
Catherine Connolly herself, who caused this by-election, she went back to relearning Irish and boning up on her Irish because while she was Galway City based and grew up in Galway City, she felt she could benefit from borrowing.
