That is correct.
And this routinely occurs.
And I am of the opinion that if we allow the president to continue unabated,
then those who tolerate this perpetuate it.
We cannot perpetuate this racism.
And unfortunately, I will tell you, Mr. Lemon, that we have to be careful about saying racism informs other than yours and some others, because if you do, you're not allowed back.
You won't come back.
We don't treat racism the same way we treat anti-Semitism.
I am antithetical to anti-Semitism.
I'm going to fight it with my last breath.
But we also have to treat racism similarly because of the impact that it has on people of color.
And this is something that we have to suffer since August the 20th of 1619, when the first persons of African ancestry were introduced into the colonies that became the United States of America.
We ended slavery, the enslavement, but we didn't end racism.
We went to convict leasing.
We ended convict leasing, but it didn't end racism.
We went to lawful segregation.
That was a form of racism.
We ended that, but it didn't end the racism.
