They go hand in hand.
I mean, it's exactly the same thing.
But I was listening to something about how the Jews thought that there were like two forces or two gods.
Because he made that first statement saying that there's only one God.
But when you read in the Old Testament, there's some curious passages that seems to infer that there's another presence there.
Of course, we as believers, when we read John 1, it kind of answers those questions.
Oh, that God is not only...
The Father, or Yahweh God, He's the Son, and then there's the Holy Spirit hovering over the waters at creation.
But all these things are inferred in numerous passages in the Old Testament, which is why Jesus would famously say,
You think, remember in John 5, that listening to the scriptures, they'll lead you to eternal life, but you refuse to come to me because the scriptures are about me.
And he's talking about the Hebrew scriptures.
And so I'll give you an example of that.
So I looked this up, and I didn't come up with this on my own, but so I didn't know that all over the Old Testament,
Picturing God, Yahweh, the Father, there's numerous phrases that says he's riding on the clouds.
I'll give you an example, Psalm 68, 4.
Sing to God, sing praises his name, extol him who rides on the clouds.
Psalm 104.3, he makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.
Deuteronomy 33.26, there is no one like God who rides upon the heavens for your help and in his excellency on the skies.
Isaiah 19.1, see the Lord rides on a swift cloud.
You get the idea?
