And by the end of that week, the 10th pick was on the table.
And so just to illustrate to you, like how hard this was for the giants, despite the great return, um, they tried for another week after that to, to get something done with Dexter Lawrence.
And ultimately they couldn't come to an agreement.
For the Giants, it's an opportunity to reset.
You know, now I think you're in a position where, you know, you get a player who wasn't happy with the situation out the door as you're trying to build a new program.
A program that's going to be really demanding under John Harbaugh.
And you have two of the top ten picks in the draft and a chance to reset with your types of guys.
Yeah, I had someone, I had a GM of another team say to me yesterday, and this is like verbatim, Duke had to do this for Joe.
Duke is their vice president player personnel, basically their GM, Duke Tobin, right?
And so, you know, like I think there was, there is that urgency, like we have to compete in the here and the now.

You know, this is something that,
It was looking at the draft class.
It was looking at the value of the pick.
And I think they were looking at what might be available to them there at 10.
It probably would have been a Caleb Downs or a Mansoor Delane.
And what they found was, as they did their simulations, the guys they were picking at 10, for them at least, had mid to late first round grades.
That's the sort of draft it is.
So yeah, you're trading the 10th pick, but they didn't really value it that way this year.
