I think it's the fact that he has a podcast now and you can tell that he loves being an American.
And I think everything going on in the world between Canada and USA probably doesn't help the whole situation.
I don't think he was...
pleased that when he came back from winning the Olympics, that he had to be asked questions from, from myself and other journalists about everything that transpired that I know you guys know about as well.
Um, so I think it's, you look on online, I think it's a lot of people from the States kind of saying, Hey, he's going to go.
And that kind of becomes perpetuated and Ottawa, uh,
It's very scarred like Vancouver fans, I think, in terms of, especially, you know, in Ottawa, we've had Carlson leave, Yashin leave, Heatley leave, Spezza leave, like all these star players and captains, you know, ask out or not stay.
And I think the fans here are really scared about it.
And I think people have kind of latched onto it online, but I think it's more of an online slash American thing.
media doing it rather than anyone in Ottawa per se trying to run them out.
Like I can't think of any, I haven't written about it.
And I know people, you know, my fellow colleagues, like no one's been writing or, you know, saying, Oh, he needs to go or he's a distraction or he's the problem.
Like no one's writing that, you know, you know, professionals, but a lot of people online in the States and everywhere have been saying a version of that.
And I think it's kind of gone to them to be honest.
Yeah, I think...
You know, his line that he said, he said it to Friedman in one of the, you know, pre-playoff interviews is like, you know, I've never said anything.
It's never come out of my mouth.
But it's like, if you're, I don't know, like if I'm, if I have my dad on a podcast and he starts saying things.
