It's deep inside of you that makes you feel something that you haven't felt in other places.
Or maybe you feel that way because it's you making it that time.
But as a massive music fan, I'm trying to like
make something that respects all of the things that have inspired me my entire life, it still makes me feel like, wow, this is my statement now.
And you'd think that we'd have a formula now on how to write a dance song, at least, or write a pop song.
Forget about trying to write the truest song for you at that moment.
It still can come from anywhere, and it's so difficult.

I hate to say brand when you're talking about art, but what is this thing that people are tuning into you to believe in?
And someone brought up the point the other day, no artist knows what song they should play at their show.
I don't know if you've ever heard that.
I thought that was a really interesting point.
