Why it doesn't work and then what does work instead.
So the fifth tip that doesn't work is do a little every day.
Like, do you think that's a nice idea?
I feel like it's a nice idea and sometimes my brain feels like it's a nice idea, but they forget or we forget that we have that agreement with each other.
Yeah.
It requires consistent executive functioning and working memory, right?
Otherwise, you're just going to forget.
You're in such good mood when you do some cleaning.
If I hoover my flat, if I take the vacuum cleaner around and it looks really nice and you're in that high dopamine state, it's so easy to tell yourself, I'm going to do this every single Friday at four o'clock because that's worked.

But can that trigger like a shame response because you've kind of like not fulfilled a promise to yourself?
So what is the solution to this?
What is an ADHD-friendly alternative?
Is it rather do a little every day?
Is it like wait until someone's due over in five minutes and then do it all at once?
Fake pretend someone's coming over?
How do you do that?
Yeah, gosh.
Who knew Eminem could be such a motivator?
He's my sort of cleaning companion.
