It has league-wide ramifications because of the Clippers' first-round pick, which is owned by the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are currently on an 11-game winning streak with a 21-1 record.
This week saw the return of All-Star Jalen Williams, who returned to the court for the first time following offseason wrist surgery.
The Thunder still aren't whole, however, because J-Dub's first game back was also the first missed game for starting center Isaiah Hartenstein, who will be out for two-plus weeks due to a right soleus strain.
But if the Thunder win their next three games against Dallas, Utah, and Phoenix, they will tie the 2015-16 Warriors record after 25 games at 24-1.
But those three games may be tougher than they initially appear, beer listener, because Dallas and Utah are two bad teams that have looked a little frisky this week.
For the Mavericks...
Anthony Davis returned to the court and immediately changed the Mavericks' fortunes.
The Mavericks have won three in a row, including impressive wins at Denver and against Miami.
Utah is also playing well as of late, winning three of their last four, including a 133-125 win over the Houston Rockets, who came into that game winning eight of their last nine.
By the way, on the same night that the Mavs beat the Nuggets and the Jazz beat the Rockets, we also saw that Wizards win over the Bucks that I mentioned earlier.
And we also saw the Suns beat the Lakers despite Devin Booker only playing 10 minutes.
But who needs Devin Booker when you get 61 combined points from Dylan Brooks and Colin Gillespie?
Speaking of the Lakers, LeBron's streak of consecutive 1,297 games scoring double digits finally came to an end in Toronto on Thursday night, a game that ended on a buzzer-beating Rui Hachimura 3 that would have, of course, assisted by LeBron James.
The last time LeBron didn't score double digits was January 5, 2007, only four days before the announcement of the original iPhone.
The announcement wasn't even out.
It wasn't even out.
Finally this week, we had our eighth 50-point game of the season.
In a game against the Pacers, Jamal Murray scored 52 points, which included going 10 of 11 from three-point range.
10 of 11.
That means that the Nuggets have already had three different players with a 50-burger this season.
