We don't know what's going to happen.
But that's your weekly tanking update.
Finally, if you thought the Clippers' luck might run out post-All-Star break,
It's not happening, folks.
In a massive win that affects these West standings where teams three through six are separated by one game, the Clippers eked out a 115-114 win over Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets in L.A.
It looked like the Clippers were safe when Brooke Lopez dunked it in with 13 seconds left to put the Clippers up four.
But then Jamal Murray immediately hit a three after two free throws from Benedict Matherin.
It was only a three point game with nine seconds left.
Once again, it was Jamal Murray drawing a foul on a three point attempt with point nine seconds left.
Could have set the game to overtime.
Murray hits the first two, but then missed the final free throw.
Time expired.
Clippers won again.
The story of this one was the home debut for Benedict Matherin, recently acquired from Indiana.
Matherin put up a season-high 38 points on 22 shots, which included going 12 of 13 from the line.
The Clippers are now one game below .500 after starting 6-21.
If they beat the Lakers on Friday night, they will have followed that 6-21 stretch with a 22-7 stretch to get all the way back to .500.
They are currently ninth, only a game and a half back from the Warriors, who have lost two in a row, and they received news this week that Steph Curry will be re-evaluated in 10 days, meaning he's going to miss at least the next five games.
For the Nuggets, it's been a rough stretch by their standards.
They have lost five of their last seven, five of eight since Jokic returned to the lineup.
