Yeah, or maybe because of whatever it is, there's built-in variation, or maybe each of these lights are individual things. It's really hard to say. Now, what's really fascinating to me about what they observed that night is the size of this thing. So we're talking about the lights, we're talking about the formation, but this formation, they said, covered about 100 degrees of the night sky.
In other words, this semicircle or V formation, whatever it might've been, of 15 to 30 lights spanned more than half of the night sky. So if you're looking up, you know, of the whole sky. Yeah. Whatever this arc is of these kind of tiny dots, this arc, it kind of gives you a really strong visual of what we're talking about.

Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's the thing.

Exactly. This is a mothership coming down, dude. It would be genuinely terrifying. And we'll talk about that. One of the professors that ended up joining them one night... I'll talk about Mr. Heinemann out here. He was a skeptic. And he saw it that night. And he was shaking in his boots afterwards.

Two schools of thought in my mind so far, right? This is something we still don't know what it is. It's huge, it's large, and it's at high altitude, which means, yeah, we got a mothership size item. Doesn't have to be aliens, but I don't know. The other idea, and you're talking about it, is some sort of undisclosed military aircraft.

and if it has that level of wingspan it's enormous or it's flying very quietly really low right right in order to block up that amount of sky it'd have to be pretty low which would mean it would have to be very very quiet all things rattling through my little mind right now yeah but then like between those two what else could it be right

But right. There's always some sort of balloon or something. So after that night, the professor's story was published in the local newspaper. And as you can imagine, we've seen this pattern Other Lubbock residents began claiming that they too saw the same lights that night. The lights subsequently became known as the Lubbock Lights and over the weeks, hundreds of residents reported seeing them.
