You have to have the exact right people that can navigate that.
Yes, and this is what I was referring to before about case study look back at who makes the most of this postseason.
It was easy to see Vegas do it their way because they were able to be aggressive and cutthroat about it.
But now they can't even necessarily be that way because even if they have even more money, the pieces may not necessarily want to move.
And if they do have pieces that want to move...
this makes a rebuild to your question that much harder because if there is a free agent who wants to go somewhere, where do they want to go where they have the best chance to win?
You know, there's very few guys who say, you know where I want to go.
I want to go and help a bunch of guys learn how to be pros for the next five years and then maybe content, but that's not a thing that happens.
So, you know, that's going to be the trick is that you're going to have more money, but the players who want to take that money are going to be even more inclined to go to a winner.
This is what the Kraken have been talking about as well, is that they're ready to be aggressive.
There were the reports about going after Artemi Panarin at the deadline.
But even if you want to be aggressive, as with everything, it takes two to play, and you have to have someone who wants to agree to come.
All of this to say, if the free agent movement and the squeezing of other teams' assets isn't going to happen, do we see a much more true swing back to the draft and develop from within?
It's going to be really interesting over these next couple of years.
