When we talk about Katie Bainfield, by almost every adult around her, apart from Paul Lusby who did his utmost best to try and raise the alarm and he was repeatedly turned away by the ombudsman because he wasn't a relative of hers.

He does go to a police station and they don't take a statement but agree to take down notes and he details all his concerns and then when he goes back and asks, those notes have been destroyed, they haven't been kept and nothing that he told remains.

Police was followed up on.

And there are some police officers who did try and look into his past.

But Cresswell had a criminal record.

He'd been to prison for a brutal assault on his former partner, Abby Lyle, also a woman who works in the equestrian world.

And a lot of people who are into that will know is now an Olympian.

She represented Ireland in the last Olympics and she is probably going to be at the Olympics again soon.

Next time out, she managed to escape and now lives in England and has very bravely waved her anonymity and spoken about how controlling and coercive Cresswell actually was.
