You know, there is some contact in relation to letting the police know that the underwear has been seized, but that the unit that they contacted basically came back and says, well, unless there's a complaint, you know, there's no need to be seizing anything.
Well, there couldn't be a complaint because the woman was unconscious.
So how would there be a complaint?
So there was things like that that just seemed very, she said, basic, basic police work, you know, your basic things.
This young woman is bleeding and there's no one is even curious as to why this has happened.
And then, as you said, there's safeguarding in the equestrian sector.
So it says that during this review, it became apparent that Jonathan Cresswell may have associated with known sex offenders.
It also became apparent that there may be known individuals currently operating within the equestrian world.
Police investigation into these matters has been progressed during this review.
And since Katie's death, several other victims have come forward.
There are currently 37 female and male victims who have reported abuse by Jonathan Cresswell.
31 of them are female, six are male.
And in relation to these, police taking part in this review have commissioned a separate investigation.
None of those victims can get justice because Jonathan Cresswell is dead.
But I still think that their stories are important in terms of learning about
the patterns of behaviour and what was going on within that equestrian sector.
Yeah, well, so the recommendation for Ting is to strengthen the multi-agency safeguards within health trusts.
And this is important because, remember, I'd said that Katie was repeatedly showing up to A&E with injuries, involving physical injuries, and they should prompt safeguard concerns and considerations, particularly when domestic abuse is suspected or could be a contributing factor.
It said if a nurse has safeguarding concerns, they should consult with medical staff and seek agreement for a referral to the appropriate agency.
And that could be adult safeguarding or the PSNI.
