So that's why I kind of wanted to wait for this to kind of be in the middle after we kind of buttered you up a little bit and talk about the details.
So now let's talk about the bad.
How do you surmise the 2025 season for the New York Mets?
sterns addressed the actual holes that needed to be addressed but maybe too much i mean what were you know it it was kind of a bad situation so what i was going to ask you is is given the situation obviously you lose edwin diaz this offseason you lose pete alonso um frankie montas got released um
Yeah, but that's good.
Yeah, I mean, those are kind of your, I don't know, your bigger ones, right?
And then there's been some quiet moves, right?
Like we mentioned, for me, the fact that the Freddie Peralta move was as quiet as it was, for me, if I'm a Met fan, if I'm a Met, I think it's a good thing.
Because you're not necessarily putting these expectations on your team yet.
So that way it doesn't really affect where you're at.
Because I think you've said something that I think is a very real thing.
Don't call it a rebuild, but you're calling it a new roster construction.
And you're kind of seeing what you've got to do out there, right?
And I think the thing that kind of stood out to me was...
When they went out and got Boba shed.
Yeah.
It's three years, $126 million.
It's a boatload of money, but it includes opt-outs after every season.
Right.
So, so it's, it's a fair one.
