One of the opportunities we have is that not only do we have ample oil and gas, but we also have the ability to deploy renewable energy.
We have ample wind supply.
We've got sunny states.
We have technologies that can make solar work in non-sunny states.
For example, we have a tremendous amount of solar energy deployed in Vermont that's backed up by battery systems in people's homes, and that's working in Vermont.
So we know what those solutions are.
So we need to go with the best solution per location and not be thinking, am I a Republican?
Am I a Democrat?
How does that determine what solution I think we should have for energy?
And when, as a nation...
we start to be divided and we say, instead of doing what the best solution is for a location, we're going to try to dictate that it's this fuel or that fuel.
Then we make mistakes.
I mean, ultimately, we have so many things that we can use for energy in this country.
And all those fuels in different locations can be unbelievably cost competitive for Americans.
Thank you for having me.
