And at that point, the point I was trying to make to Cenk is,

Trump is not a person who's driven by ideology.

He's not an ideologue.

A fascist is an ideologue.

He is an authoritarian.

He has authoritarian tendencies.

There's no question about that.

But fascism is something very specific.

Identify what he actually is so you can address it appropriately.

then he gets elected and what he's carrying out right now through the use of ICE is fascism.

So that was what I was apologizing for specifically.

In engaging in that debate, my point wasn't that I like Trump and I'm going to vote for Trump and Trump is not a threat at all.

I didn't vote for Trump.

I've always been critical of him.

And I do think that there's a faction on the far left that for whatever reason has this weird interest in misrepresenting the point that I'm making.

Those videos where they attack get a lot of views and there's a financial component to it.

But in terms of where I've actually changed a little bit in my policy views, I live in California.

And so I got to understand and see firsthand what some of these

far left policies social policies in particular not economic policies like how they've kind of hurt the very communities and neighborhoods that the left wants to help so for instance when uh the los angeles council voted to cut 150 million dollars from the lapd's budget well obviously they had to lay off uh sworn officers and you know police and

And what we ended up doing is spending a lot more money on policing because of the fact that you have the remaining police officers having to work overtime where they get paid a lot more in order to pick up the slack left by the officers who were laid off.
