Well, once the Germans were in their area, the only time they would come out was at night for a mission to blow something up.

He's gone round the glass wall.

He would see the chemical toilet and then he'll go in into the main chamber.

And in the main chamber is like a big...

I don't know if you've ever seen like an Anderson shelf, like a big curved corrugated iron.

And there'd be bunks there for them to sleep during the day.

There'd be table.

There'd be a camp.

So there's obviously no electricity.

So there'd be just a candle or a tilly light.

There'd be a water tank where they have some fresh water.

Then there'd be a next separate chamber where there'd be some stores.

They didn't tend to store their explosives and ammo in the same places where they slept.

So there was usually a separate kind of explosive store somewhere near.

And then there's this escape tunnel that kind of goes out with the dogleg that came out in a disguised area.

So it might come out in the middle of a wall or it might be disguised as a badger set or in the middle of a hedge or a bank, often quite near a water source.
