You know, to be honest with you, I really didn't think I was going to be there at that moment.
That year I was in Durham Bulls in A-ball trying to win a championship in there.
I was kind of mad that I got moved up to double A because I really wanted to win a championship in A-ball.
And all of a sudden, you didn't think about those things.
And all of a sudden, you're in the World Series.
But all I want to do is just, you know, we play this game to learn to get better and win.
You know, I always wanted to win.
And, you know, obviously, you know, winning is hard.
But, you know, just get the opportunity to just go out there and play the game that you love.
That's what I did.
And, you know, one thing that, you know, my dad told me a long time ago,
take advantage of the opportunities.
So, you know, that's what I wanted to do my whole career.
And then get a chance to get in the World Series that, you know, the Braves gave me that chance to, you know, I got to get a lot of credit to, you know, the Bobby Cox and short holes that knew what's going on.
And the whole front office departments know that we were going to play the Yankees.
And we had, you know, we were very, very left-handed power.
And they wanted to put some right-handed in the lineup.
And I did took advantage of that.
Man, to be honest with you, it's just a great honor to just be in that class.
You know, we as a baseball player, we as everybody know our heart is to get into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
